Villa Agave is a totally secluded, out-of-the-ordinary private villa situated in the upscale and gated community of Terres Basses, on the French side of the island. Both, the owner and the architect of the house have been inspired from Morocco, and added oriental touches to this unique place in form of exotic plants and flower pots, stunning mosaics, Moroccan metal art decor and furniture.
Elements like terra-cotta tiles, Moroccan lamps and lanterns, rugs and fabrics helped to create the mystique of the Oriental look. With cool whitewashed and orange-golden walls inside, and Bordeaux red walls outside, a spacious, high ceiling family room, spectacular views, beautiful interiors and decor, luxury amenities, this property marries traditional Moroccan style with a modern sense of space and luxury.

A large swimming pool invites you to relax and enjoy the serenity of the lush garden. The views at the pool and the very large surrounding wooden deck are simply stunning: on one side the Simpson Bay Lagoon and the mountains of St. Martin, and the Caribbean Sea and picturesque hills of Terres Basses to the other side.

Living at Villa Agave
Open kitchen
The kitchen, complete with new, stainless steel appliances, is located next to a shaded sitting area on the covered terrace and opens to the living room on one side and the dining table to the other side.
Villa Agave has multiple sitting areas indoor and out. One is on the covered terrace next to the kitchen and is a perfect place to entertain people or have an afternoon snack. This sitting area is next to the large private pool with view of the Caribbean sea.
The elegant Villa features a large family room, completely equipped kitchen, a dining area and two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms on the main level of the house. The upper floor is an open loft space, called a "Mezzanine". On the lower level of the villa is a brand new deck and an area with plenty of outdoor facilities. The owner built it in 2007 in 2008, and added a Jacuzzi, some gym equipment, massage cabanas, a "Petanque" field, a bar and a golf driving range to that area.

On the main floor of the villa is the beautiful Gourmet kitchen that opens to both, the deck and the covered terrace. It also features beautiful views of the hills and mountains, and the Simpson Bay Lagoon beyond.

The living room at Villa Agave
On the main level of the house is the high ceiling living room with plenty of seating, a bar counter, Satellite TV, DVD, stereo and a CD player for your entertainment. There is also the gourmet kitchen and the dining area. All these areas form one large open plan family space. All rooms and accommodations are stylishly appointed with an exotic selection of furnishings and decor, beautiful mosaics and tiles, traditional Moroccan rugs, fabrics and decoration.
On the upper level is a loft space, the so called "Mezzanine'", which is accessible by a free hanging stairway. Note: The stairs leading up to the Mezzanine are not suitable for young children. The Mezzanine is not for guests' use and is locked for storing personal belongings of the owner.

Ambiance abounds as you enter the spacious living room, the family room of the villa. This largen open concept room opens to the upper deck with its spectacular views.

The interior of the designer home resembles a Moroccan villa complete with several outdoor decks, lounge areas and covered terraces, laid out with dining and sitting areas, lounge chairs, a very private pool and a Jacuzzi/hot tub. The concept of the villa was designed to enjoy Caribbean outdoor living to the full extend. And there are more outdoor facilities waiting for you on the lower deck of the villa! There is a golf driving range on premises, an open air gym, the Jacuzzi, and - as you are in France - you'll even find a petanque field for your entertainment!

The garden and part of the golf driving range
Some of the newest additions to the outdoor areas of the villa include two cabanas equipped with massage tables, a "petanque" field (metal ball game played on a sand field, a very popular game with French people...), and a bar just next to the field. The owner thought of everything possible to meet even the highest expectations of comfort and fun for guests!
