This charming free-standing vacation home on the French side of Oyster Pond is built as a Caribbean wooden/stone cottage with all modern comforts inside, and many convenient outdoor facilities. It features a private swimming pool, a lounge, a BBQ and al fresco dining area on the covered terrace that wraps around the house. Inside, the villa comprises three beautifully furnished bedrooms and three bathrooms, completed by a a cozy living room and a fully equipped Antillean kitchen outside on the terrace.

Villa Butterfly overlooks Oyster Bay also known as Oyster Pond and Captain Oliver's Marina, which is well-known by boat charters, sailing people and repeat visitors of St. Martin alike for its picturesque scenery and the yacht harbor.

Villa Butterfly is a cozy 3 bedroom, 3 bath cottage situated on a hilltop of Oyster Pond, at a few hundred yards from the Dutch border and the pristine waters of Dawn Beach. The villa is located at the end of a private dead-end road, surrounded by a lush tropical garden of 1500 sqm, ensuring tranquility and privacy at this beautiful Caribbean home.

The villa provides lovely views of Oyster Bay and the marina with Dawn Beach and The Westin beyond the lagoon, and also the remarkable skyline of St. Barth's can be seen in the distance. Villa Butterfly is a quiet and peaceful home that invites for restful relaxation in a casual Caribbean ambiance. If you are more into an active vacation, many options are close by: Dawn Beach snorkeling, water sports on Orient Bay, horseback riding, kitesurfing, diving, jetski, and more. And at the nearby Marina you can catch the ferry boat for a day trip to famous St. Barth's.

Villa Butterfly is a Creole style cottage for 2 to 6 guests, composed of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 private WC, a large living room with dining area, an outside Antillean kitchen, and a private swimming pool with lounge chairs. The terrace wraps around the house and opens up to the pool deck and the comfy lounge and dining area with a BBQ.
The villa enjoys a great location at French Oyster Pond, at a few hundred yards from the Dutch border, in walking distance to a few restaurants and Mama's Pizza. The facilities of Captain Oliver's Marina and popular Dawn Beach are a mere 2 minutes drive away.

Villa Butterfly is set amidst a beautiful lush Caribbean garden with tropical flowers and palm trees attracting birds and butterflies to the premises that gave the name to this quaint family home. The immediate neighborhood consists of just a handful of residential homes making for serenity and an easy quiet life at Villa Butterfly. The access road to this small hillside community and the villa is secured by a remote controlled gate, and private fenced-in parking is available right in front of the house.

Back inside, the beautiful living room comprises a comfortable and cozy seating area, a proper dining area and a corner to watch TV. Modern amenities are provided, such as Satellite service with French and international channels, a DVD player, and high speed Internet access per Ethernet cable (bring your laptop).

The wooden dinner table in the living room has seating for 6 guests and is perfect for setting up dinner with your friends or family. All dinnerware and tableware as well as cooking and kitchen utensils are provided at the villa.

To round up comfortable amenities at Villa Butterfly, it should also be mentioned that there are three personal safes in the house, a washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron and iron board, as well as hair-dryers in all bathrooms at this French Caribbean home that runs on 220V electricity.

	The fully equipped Antillean-style outdoor kitchen features an oven and (gas) stove, a microwave, a dish-washer, toaster, coffee maker, blender and all kitchen and BBQ utensils. A full size refrigerator with freezer is inside in the living area.
Maid service at Villa Butterfly is provided in between guest check-outs. If you wish to have housekeeping during your stay, please ask the owners and they'll make the arrangements with you accordingly.

The new kitchen with bar counters and stools was completed just recently, in October 2009. The kitchen is now outside on the terrace - the Caribbean way! Thus, the living area is not impacted by the cooking, but still conveniently close.

Villa Butterfly offers 3 individual bedrooms. They are beautifully decorated and well appointed. Each bedroom comes with split level A/C, ceiling fan, closet space, safety deposit box and a private bathroom with shower and hair-dryer. For a maximum of privacy, the Master bath has its WC separate from the bath.

The blue and the green bedroom at Villa Butterfly are both equipped with a double bed (140 cm x 200 cm), that's approximately the size of a Queen mattress. The owner lady did a wonderful job in re-decorating the bedrooms in September and October 2009. The blue bedroom is particularly charming and you will for sure enjoy staying in this room! Location of Villa Butterfly on Oyster Pond and Captain Olivers Marina

Villa Butterfly is located on the East side of the island, on the French part of Oyster Pond near the Dutch border. For those of you who already know the area: the villa is half way between Mama Pizza and Les Balcons d'Oyster Pond. In walking distance or a short drive away are grocery stores, the Oyster Pond superette, several restaurants, the pizzeria, and Captain Oliver's Marina with its facilities including bars, restaurants, boutiques, boat rental, and the Voyager ferry boat to St. Barths. By car, you'll need:

2 minutes to Dawn Beach
10 minutes to Orient Beach for its many water sports, beach bars and restaurants, and the naturist resort "Club O"
10 minutes to Philipsburg for duty free shopping at its famous Front Street , the Boardwalk on Great Bay beach, cruise ships, casinos, beach bars etc.
15 minutes to Grand Case for its culinary attractions - the finest dining in the Caribbean
30 minutes to Marigot for its chic boutiques for fashion & designer ware, the street market, restaurants, Fort Louis, or a visit for lunch or dinner at the Marina Royale.
