If you search for a villa rental for 2 couples or a small family, a villa that offers all the comforts of a cozy home away from home and still is affordable, you should consider Villa Oyster Bay View! The villa is very well equipped and offers very attractive rates. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a fully equipped kitchen, A/C in the bedrooms AND in the living room, a private swimming pool and many more, good quality appliances and modern amenities such as free WiFi Internet.

Villa Oyster Bay View overlooks Oyster Pond and Captain Oliver's Marina, which is well-known by boat charter, sailing people and repeat visitors of St. Martin/St. Maarten alike for its picturesque harbor. Captain Oliver's is also host of the annual Carib Beer Regatta that becomes more and more popular every year. The villa provides great views (see picture) of the entire Oyster Pond area, the Oyster Pond Hill with its upscale private homes and luxury rental villas, and the Caribbean sea at Dawn Beach.

The living room and dining area are furnished in Bamboo-style and feature a flat computer screen for watching DVD's (TV available soon) and the entertainment equipment. There is also free WiFi Internet access (bring your own laptop) available throughout the house.

On the upper level of the villa is an open loft space, a Mezzanine with a single bed to sleep one guest (child). The picture on the left shows the seating area in the living room with the stairs leading up to the Mezzanine.

To round up comfortable amenities at Villa Oyster Bay, it should also be mentioned that there is a safe in the house (big enough to hold a medium sized laptop), electric hurricane shutters and canvas sun protection blinds both, in front and at the side of the villa, and a remote controlled gate and parking lot just next to the villa.

Aside from the lovely outdoor areas such as the private swimming pool, charcoal BBQ, a comfy day bed, wooden lounge chairs and umbrellas, Villa Oyster Bay is also very comfortable inside. The living room is air-conditioned and features WiFi Internet, entertainment equipment such as DVD and CD-player, as well as a Bamboo/glass table to set up dinner with your friends or family.

	The Kitchen The fully equipped kitchen in pink and white colors adjoins the living room. It features top quality appliances, such as a Bosch dishwasher, a gas and electric stove, an oven (electric), a full size refrigerator, microwave,
toaster, coffee machine, coffee grinder, blender and all kitchen utensils, even a full set of BBQ tools. There is also a Bosch washing machine, and a vacuum cleaner for the convenience of guests.

The kitchen

Villa Oyster Bay View features 2 bedrooms. Both are equipped with a double bed (Queen size), A/C, a large closet and a private bath. The blue bedroom is a cozy room, nicely appointed and decorated, and with vaulted ceiling accented by light blue beams. All is here to make your stay as comfortable as possible!

The first bedroom in blue comes with an en-suite full bathroom, also in blue and white, equipped with one sink and a bath tub, whereas the green bedroom features a private bath with double sinks, a stall shower and the restroom (toilet) being separate.

The blue bedroom features an en-suite bathroom in blue colors, and is equipped with a sink, large mirror and a shower/bath tub combination. Both bedrooms are located on the main level of the villa and have an easy access to the pool, deck and the terrace.

The green bedroom

The second bedroom at the Villa features pretty much the same size, layout and amenities as the other bedroom. The color scheme is different though, and is held in white and pastel green.

On the Mezzanine you'll find an additional single bed to sleep a child or young adult.

Villa Oyster Bay View is located on the East side of the island, on the French part of Oyster Pond near the Dutch border. For those of you who already know the area: the villa is half way between Mama Pizza and Les Balcons d'Oyster Pond. In walking distance are grocery stores, the Oyster Pond superette, a beauty salon, restaurants, the pizzeria, and Captain Oliver's Marina with its facilities including bars, restaurants, boutiques, boat rental, water taxi to Dawn Beach, and the Voyager ferry boat to St. Barths. By car, you'll need:

• 2 minutes to Dawn Beach (one of the best beaches on the island)
• 10 minutes to Orient Beach for its many water sports, beach bars and restaurants, and the naturist resort "Club O"
• 10 minutes to Philipsburg for duty free shopping, the Boardwalk on Great Bay beach, cruise ships, casinos, beach bars etc.
• 20 minutes to Grand Case for fine dining
• 30 minutes to Marigot for its chic boutiques for fashion & designer ware, the street market, restaurants, Fort Luis, or a visit for lunch or dinner at Marina Royale

Our friendly neighbors Carine and David Poret, who also run the nearby Bungalow complex of "Les Balcons d'Oyster Pond", manage our home at Oyster Bay and handle all reservation related issues. They will also be your local contact on island, living just next door to the villa. Both, Carine and David, came from France to St. Martin almost 10 years ago and have an indepth knowledge of the island. They speak English and French and will be glad to share their hints and recommendations with you once you are here!
