Though, the villa is very private, and it is surrounded by a wonderful lush tropical garden. The semi-attached home was designed to enjoy Caribbean outdoor living, and the focus of this home is on its outdoor spaces, such as the large terrace, the porch, the pool, the sun deck, and the garden.

Villa du Voyageur is a cozy, French Caribbean-style family vacation home that is available for weekly rentals at very attractive low introductory rates. The villa is only a block away from Orient Beach, the most popular beach on the island. A short 3 minutes walk will take you to Orient Village, the main square on Orient Bay for grocery shopping, restaurants, pizzeria, bars, a French bakery, and a few other shops.

Villa du Voyageur

This 3 bedroom, 2 bath villa is available for rent since November 2008. During the summer months of 2009, the villa has been upgraded and refurbished again. Most of the furnishing, the patio furniture, the bedding, decoration and accessories are new. The tastefully furnished and beautifully decorated small vacation home features a very nice outdoor area including a private pool and sun deck surrounded by a lush tropical garden.

A large, brand new Teak dining table seats 6 guests comfortably Outside, there is a large covered terrace. On one side, you will find a new Teak dining table for 6 guests, and on the other side there is a very comfortable lounge area to relax on your private porch.

All the patio furniture are new and were added to the villa in September/October 2008. Always handy is also a new BBQ that you may want to set up either by the pool, the dining area on the terrace, or on the lounge/porch.
If you prefer to stay in the area for lunch, dinner, or just a drink, you find plenty of eating places and (beach) bars in various categories about 200 - 400 yards away. A convenience store and several service providers are close by, too.

Villa du Voyageur provides the comfort of air-conditioning in the 3 bedrooms and in the living room/kitchen. All rooms are on ground floor; all three bedrooms are under one roof and are accessed from inside, thus making Villa du Voyageur a perfect spot for families with young children. For guests with toddlers, it might be good to add that one entrance features a small ramp, so you can easily enter the property with a stroller. The villa best accommodates 2 couples, or a family with young children of max. six people in total.

Villa du Voyageur is just a 5 minutes walk from St. Martin's most popular beach, Orient Bay, with its great choice of beach bars, restaurants and excellent water sports facilities. The gourmet village of Grand Case is at 10 min. by car. Marigot and Philipsburg are each about 20 min. drive away.

The pool and its surrounding areas are very comfortable and private. There is a shady seating area on the porch, and a dining area on the other side of the covered terrace.

The property is fenced-in and tucked behind the garden, so you can enjoy total privacy when you go for a swim.

Villa du Voyageur has a fully equipped kitchen The kitchen adjoins the corner seating in an open space with high cathedral ceiling. The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator, a microwave, an oven and Ceran top stove (electric), coffee maker, toaster. All kitchen utensils as well as a complete set of dinnerware and crockery are available. In a separate facility room there is also a washing machine for the convenience of guests, and maid service once per week is included in your rental fee.

The main dining area of the villa is outside on the covered terrace, where you will find a a new large Teak dining table that seats 6 guests easily.

Villa du Voyageur has a warm and tastefully furnished living room with all new furniture. The comfortable corner seating is set up next to the terrace and is the best place to watch Satellite TV on a wide flat screen. Vaulted white ceiling, extra wide sliding doors, DVD, and CD player, individual decoration and neat light fixtures, and not to forget an A/C unit are the main features of this comfortable open plan room.

WiFi Internet access is installed in the house and you can connect your WiFi ready laptop or notebook anywhere at the villa. In one of the bedrooms there is a little desk where you can also set up your laptop.

Each of the three bedrooms at the Voyageur is equipped with a double bed (with 63" slightly wider than a Queen size bed), A/C and a closet. All bedrooms are located on ground floor and are accessible from inside, perfect for families with young children!

Two of the three bedrooms are located to the rear of the house. The "green" bedroom (see photos to the right) is located to the front, and faces the terrace and pool area. There are two private full bathrooms. One of the bathrooms has also a tub. Both bathrooms are equipped with a hair dryer.

The "red" bedroom features A/C, a large closet, a nice dresser and decorative pieces and lamp fixtures. This bedroom and its adjoining private bath are on the left when you passed the arch in the living room.

The "green" bedroom opens to the terrace. There is a large closet and a little desk next to it that is made for using a laptop for WiFi connection.

The "green" bedroom shares the bathroom with the third bedroom. It is a private full bathroom with one sink, a large mirror, a shower and a shelf for storing towels and other bathroom items.

These are our attractive introductory rates for our very first season 2009 !
Weekly Rates	3 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms (2-6 people)
Low Season 01 May - 30 November:	$1,900 per week
High Season 01 December - 30 April:	$2,400 per week
Christmas and New Year's weeks:	$2,900 per week
Above rates are in US Dollar per week (7 nights) and are based upon 2 people per bedroom, or 6 people max. occupancy. Our weekly rates include tax and service charge with maid service once per week. A 30% deposit is required to make a reservation, preferably per wire transfer. Final payment is due in cash on arrival. To protect the property against damage or loss, we require a refundable security deposit of $800. View villa location on map

Famous Orient Beach boasts of water sports, fun for couples and families alike. There is also a section for the naturists at the eastern end at Club O.

Villa du Voyageur is located in the gated community of Orient Bay with 24 hours security. The villa is only one block, approx. 400 yards from the beach and 300 yards to Orient Village. For dining out, you can also easily reach the restaurants of Grand Case, the "Gourmet capital" of the Caribbean, which is a 10 minutes drive away. 20 minutes and you are either in Dutch side Philipsburg or in the French Capital Marigot for (duty free) shopping, street markets, sidewalk cafes, restaurants and bars.

The French family of Villa du Voyageur lives on island and takes very well care of both, their guests and their properties. The same owners offer another rental on Orient Bay, 300 yards down the beach access road, see Apartment Le Farniente for details.
